For more than a decade, the health technology company NewIcon has specialized in pharmacy automation equipment based on advanced software and robotics expertise. We manufacture automation systems for the storing, distribution and dispensing of pharmaceuticals in the global market. In Finland we are the market leader, having delivered over 200 systems to different pharmacies.
Medication safety and the the fact that pharmaceutical professionals’ time can be spent on customer work are important benefits of automation. In hospitals, automation solutions improve both patient and occupational safety, while generating savings by making work more efficient and simplifying work routines. Our products have been designed in close cooperation with domestic health care professionals with LEAN principles in mind. Apart from Finland, we have delivered our systems to China, Russia, Israel, Denmark and Iran. In addition to geographical expansion, we are looking for growth by extending our service and product portfolio through our own product development to cover the entire medicine supply service logistics from wholesaler to medicine dispensing.
Our turnover grew 65% last year and is now about 7.3M €, and we are a team of 70 people. We are on the crest of the wave of global trends – aging populations, increasing digitalisation and robotics and the strong need of developed countries to find solutions for improving health care have offered us a significant growth opportunity. In addition to operating management, our shareholders include Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, Etera mutual insurance company, Highlight Capital and hundreds of new domestic shareholders due to a recently closed successful crowdfunding offering.
Right now we’re looking for an
Area Sales Manager
to handle our Southern Finland customers.
In your work, you are responsible for selling pharmacy automation solutions to pharmacies – maintaining and deepening our existing customer relationships and creating new ones. In addition to sales, you participate in various customer events and fairs as well as in the development of our products by bringing views from the customer interface.
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff is the cornerstone of our development and you will become a very central part of our five-member domestic sales team.
Your work is independent, varied and mobile. We build functional connections where you live.
We expect you to have experience and evidence of successful consultative sales work in B2B environment. Our flexible automation solutions can be in part very comprehensive and technical, so experience in solution sales makes it easier to succeed at work. A strong command of English is essential.
